Faith and Purpose

Faith for the woman still becoming

Enough courage for one more step.

I wanted to see the whole plan. Often, God gave me enough courage for the next step.

My story cannot be separated from my faith. It has shaped how I understand growth, how I move through uncertainty, and how I find the courage to keep going when the future feels unclear.

There have been seasons when I felt hidden. Looking back, I can see those seasons differently now: they were part of a journey I did not yet fully understand.

Even when I felt hidden, God could see who I was becoming.

When you cannot see the whole road

Uncertainty can make us want to stand still. We tell ourselves that we will begin when we know enough, feel strong enough, or have every question answered.

Faith has invited me to move with the understanding I have today. Sometimes that means learning a new skill. Sometimes it means asking for help, having an honest conversation, or accepting an opportunity that stretches me.

The step may be small. It can still matter.

Purpose in ordinary moments

It is easy to imagine purpose as a single dramatic moment—a title, a platform, or a door opening. Yet much of the work of becoming happens quietly: in the way we prepare, listen, serve, and respond to the responsibilities already in front of us.

I am learning to value those ordinary moments. They are opportunities to practice the courage, humility, and care I hope to carry into whatever comes next.

Faith and leadership belong together

For me, leadership includes more than confidence. It asks for integrity, a willingness to learn, and respect for the people whose lives our decisions affect.

My faith keeps inviting me to examine how I lead: Am I listening? Am I willing to receive correction? Am I making room for another person’s voice? Am I using what I have been given with care?

These are questions I continue to grow into. I do not share them from a place of having arrived. I share them as a woman still learning.

A reflection for your own journey

Make a little room to pause. You do not need a perfect answer to begin.

  1. Look back with compassion. What did a quiet or difficult season teach you?
  2. Notice what is present. What responsibility, relationship, or opportunity deserves your attention today?
  3. Name the hesitation. What are you afraid might happen if you take a step?
  4. Choose a faithful action. What can you prepare, ask, learn, or do this week?

A simple prayer for the next step

God, help me see this season with patience and honesty. Give me courage to do what is in front of me, humility to keep learning, and wisdom to ask for help. Remind me that I can grow without pretending to have every answer. Guide my next step. Amen.

You do not have to feel fearless to move forward. You can be honest about your uncertainty and still choose to trust, prepare, and begin.
